(We'll collect you within a 10-kilometer radius of Galle Face Green Galle Face Green is a popular urban park and promenade located along the coastline of Colombo. It offers stunning ocean views and is a favorite spot among locals and tourists alike for leisure activities and evening strolls. Our meeting point will be at a designated area within Galle Face Green, providing easy access to the park's amenities and nearby attractions.
This is the only clock tower in the world with a lighthouse in the middle of a capital city which works even up to date. The tower was constructed as a clock tower in 1856-57 and completed on 25 February 1857. The tower was designed by Emily Elizabeth Ward.
commonly known as the Currency Museum or Money Museum Construction of the building commenced in 1911, with the laying of its foundation stone. The National Mutual Building was opened in 1914, as the Colombo head office of a global insurance company, National Mutual Life Association of Australasia Limited. At the time of its opening, it was the tallest building in Colombo The museum has a collection of currency that dates back to the 3rd century BC. It includes coins from the Anuradhapura era (3 BC to 107 AD), Polonnaruwa to Kotte Kingdoms era (1017 AD - 1597 AD), coins used during the Portuguese, Dutch, and British colonial eras through to the modern era, and commemorative coins and notes.
