If you have selected the extra transfer from Quito, the guide will pick you up at the agreed meeting point the same day you start the tour. Remember that it is imperative that you acclimatize well before starting the ascent and spend at least one week in the Andes at altitudes over 2800 m. before starting the tour. If you have not acclimatized properly and the guide does not consider it safe, you will return to the start of the route without reaching the summit.
