Itinerary

Rue Port Neuf

We will start our gourmet tour with a stroll through the pedestrian streets of Bayonne, stopping by and tasting chocolate in one of the oldest chocolate shops in Bayonne (1854). We"ll pass by the cathedral, the cloister etc before immersing ourselves in our gastronomic visit!

Les Halles de Bayonne

Les Halles de Bayonne is the perfect starting point for our food tour, where you'll get to indulge in some of the freshest and most delicious fish/seafood in the region. To complement the mouthwatering flavors of the fish/seafood, we've carefully selected a glass of local wine for you to savor. While you discover these local specialties, you'll be surrounded by the sights, sounds, and smells of the bustling market. It's the perfect introduction to Bayonne's food scene, and we can't wait to share it with you.

Le trinquet Saint-Andre

Our second stop on the food tour is one of the oldest trinquets in France (A trinquet is a type of indoor court used for playing the Basque ball game called "pelota."). As we arrive, you'll be struck by the traditional architecture and the rich history of the venue. We'll head to the restaurant inside the trinquet, where you'll get to sample a variety of local tapas and cured meats, each with their own unique flavor profile. To complement the tapas, we'll also serve you a glass of wine from the restaurant's carefully curated selection. As you savor the delicious food and drink, you'll be surrounded by the lively atmosphere of the trinquet, with the sounds of the game being played in the background. It's a truly unique and unforgettable experience that captures the essence of Basque culture and cuisine.
