A visit to the Nazi concentration camps of Auschwitz and Birkenau offers a haunting insight into the tragedies of Poland’s WWII Nazi occupation. On this half-day tour from Krakow, travel from the city by private car or minivan, then join an emotional tour of the museum, memorials, and camp buildings, visiting both Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau. We will pick you up from your hotel, apartment located in Krakow by a private car or minivan.
You will visit Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau, where you'll find crematoriums and gas chambers, as well as loading/unloading ramps and wooden and brick barracks, the former of which is entered through the iconic gate inscribed with Arbeit Macht Frei (Work Sets You Free). Visitors can see some surviving barracks and the ruins of gas chambers and crematoriums. At the end of the route is where you’ll encounter the Monument to International Victims of Fascism. Private transfer to Auschwitz-Birkenau, but the tour in the museum is shared with other people in a group of up to 30.
