Academia Gallery was founded in 1784 as an affiliated art gallery of the Accademia di Belle Arti. The museum collects the large numbers of Renaissance art works, including the creations of famous artists such as Giambologna, Botticelli, and Uccello.
The most well-known masterpiece is David of Michelangelo, which is a marble statue over 5 meters, and took three years to sculpt. It is known as the most outstanding work of the Italian Renaissance. By celebrating the beauty of human body, it not only reflects the the revival of classical Greek humanism, but also declares that people have been freed from the darkness and shackles of the Middle Ages. It became the symbol of the republican system of Florence.

- The tour guide will be waiting in front of the entrance with a pink identification card "Ciao Florence" on the day. Please be sure to arrive at the meeting point 20 minutes in advance. If you are unable to participate in the tour due to being late, compensation or refund will not be given

- Those who are under 6 years old are free admission, please notify us the numbers of visitors while making booking and bring the passports with you in the tour
- In order to make sure the quality of tour, the maximum participants of a group is 10 people
- In the high season, the maximum participants of a group can be up to 20 people and the headset will be provided
- Please note that there is possibility to enter late due to the peak time
- It is allowed to take the photos for non commercial purpose; however, it is prohibited to use flash and tripod
- Please aware that it is necessary to pass security check concerning the security
- All kinds of knives and sharp objects with piercing function are prohibited in the museum. If found through inspection, please hand it over to the security personnel and temporarily store the objects at the entrance inspection area
- There is no cloakroom in the museum. Please be careful not to bring long-handled umbrellas, large backpacks, luggage, helmets, and other items
- Eating and drinking are strictly prohibited in the museum, and each visitor can bring a maximum of 500 ml of drinking water into the venue
- There are accessible facilities in the museum, so visitors in wheelchairs can participate the tour
