A fee of $95 per person must be paid direct to Pro Dive Cairns at check-in. This fee includes Government Environmental Charge, Port Departure Tax and administration costs.
Participants must be aged 13+ to participate in this activity
It is a dive course requirement that you be able to swim 200 metres or snorkel 300 metres and tread water/float for 10 minutes
Do not fly within 24 hours of diving
Digital underwater cameras are available for hire onboard our dive boats for a cost of AUD40 per dive. Please note you will not be able to use the underwater camera until you are a certified diver
Prior to commencing your Learn to Dive Course you are required to complete the self-assessment Entry Level Student Dive Medical Declaration

The Pro Dive Cairns 5-day PADI “Open Water” course combines the adventure of learning to scuba dive with the excitement of exploring the spectacular beauty of the Great Barrier Reef. This 5-day adventure consists of 2 days of theory and pool training, then 3 days and 2 nights on the Outer Great Barrier Reef, staying on one of Pro Dive Cairns’ premium liveaboard dive boats. Included in the course are 9 dives (4 training and 5 recreational, including a guided night dive) on a variety of 19 exclusive Outer Reef sites. There’s also plenty of time to snorkel and relax onboard.
