Lying some 25 kilometers north of Brasov, we find the "Carpathian Delta". This is a protected area of 415 hectares of wetlands, which include habitats such as water surfaces, streams, marshes, grasslands, farmland, and peat bogs. This special place is home to more than 200 species of birds, including protected species such as Botaurus Stellaris, Eurasian Bittern, or Ardea Purpurea, Purple Heron
Furthermore, this area contains Transylvania's highest number of Black Stork (Ciconia nigra), Great Egret (Ardea alba), and Greater White-fronted Goose (Anser albifrons).
All you need is a binocular, which we provide you with. Of course, if you want to capture extraordinary photos, you will need a good camera.
Pickup included
Birdwatching, or the pleasure of discovering the beautiful world of birds, is a very appreciated and relaxing activity. One doesn't have to be a scientist in order to go birding. You can simply observe the birds out of passion and curiosity. All you need to have is a decent binocular, which we provide you with. Of course if you want to capture extraordinary photos you would need a good camera. During summer this activity can be done early in the morning (07:30-10) or in the evening (18-20:30). This activity involves some walking along the lake shore. Make sure to have good walking shoes and clothing as it can be chilly sometimes.
